DBSM Sunday: James 4
True peace and satisfaction is found by being at peace with Him and satisfied in Him.

In James 3, we look at controlling the tongue. How do we control something so small yet so powerful? Can we control it?
The New Year is approaching us; resolutions are flying around everywhere. Before 2010 hits, we want to look at how to seize the moment, and what the Bible teaches on it.
During the Christmas season, it’s always great to reflect and ask ourselves, “Why do I go through the same song and dance every year? What’s the point of Christmas?”
Faith without works is dead. What can this possibly mean? How do we reconcile this with the gospel of grace? What is James talking about?
Favoritism. It’s everywhere. We show it at the lunch tables, in the locker room, and even at church. James 2 is going to look heavily into favoritism and how it affects the church.
So often, we’ll pick up the Bible, go through our quiet times, put the Bible away, and act as though we never read it. James said to not only be hearers of the Word, but doers as well.
The Christian walk is filled with many trials and temptations. Part of a mature walk with Christ is how we respond to these trials.
Having a vision for our lives is very important to the way we grow. Without one, we have no place to move forward. How do we develop a biblical vision to where we’re headed?
Philippians 4 is a tremendous passage on prayer. As we finish this series in Philippians, we are going to look at what the Peace of Christ is.
In Philippians 3, Paul gives the Philippians one main question to ponder, “What do you treasure?”
Philippians 2 is the great chapter on humility. We have the great example of Jesus. How can we continue to follow in Jesus’ path and stay humble?
DBSM Sunday Morning is kicking off with a study into Philippians, learning how to walk in humility. For Philippians 1, we are not asked to make Jesus our top priority, but Jesus takes a more important role in our lives.
