In James 3, we look at controlling the tongue. How do we control something so small yet so powerful? Can we control it?
Faith without works is dead. What can this possibly mean? How do we reconcile this with the gospel of grace? What is James talking about?
Favoritism. It’s everywhere. We show it at the lunch tables, in the locker room, and even at church. James 2 is going to look heavily into favoritism and how it affects the church.
So often, we’ll pick up the Bible, go through our quiet times, put the Bible away, and act as though we never read it. James said to not only be hearers of the Word, but doers as well.
The Christian walk is filled with many trials and temptations. Part of a mature walk with Christ is how we respond to these trials.
