Hi Eddie,

My husband and I are interested in volunteering with Route 56 this year, if there is still a need for leaders. We have both worked with 3rd and 4th grade kids with Cindy Metcalf and have been very involved with CollegeLife.
Should we attend the leadership meeting this weekend? Or can we just come talk with you.
We love kids and have seen most of these kids grow up in the church. We would love to be of any help to you and the ministry.

Praise the Lord for the planting and the harvest!!! Can’t wait to hear more stories! On Memorial Day Alexis asked me to pray for many unbelievers to come to camp this year-wow,God answers prayers! Today’s verse is Colossians1:6 “All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing,just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God’s grace in all its truth.” When we don’t even know how to pray,God gives us His Word and when we pray scripture,it is the perfect prayer with God’s perfect answer!

as the prayer warriors prayed matthew 11:15 today,I was excited to see the blog to see whose ears were hearing God’s plan of salvation as well as sanctification!! Be sure you check the prayer calender tommorrow-how perfect is God’s timing for all here praying for you to be praying Hebrews12:1-3! Praying against weariness,tiredness,grouchiness,and anything that may hinder y’all from being used by God. Praying that y’ALL would fix your eyes on Jesus and not on yourselves,that you may have strength,energy, and joy that can ONLY come from Him. It is a privilege to be on the team praying for you guys and loving the blog updates!

What is included in the cost of the beach trip (i.e. – food)? Also, the church bulletin this last week stated the cost at $275, but the website says $305…can you confirm the price?

I just have to say that this trip is going to rock the faces off of every student who attends. We are pulling back all the stops to make sure that UBA 2010 sets the standard for amazing life changing events at DBSM. Everyone should come to UBA

The Ultimate Beach Adventure is open to students who just completed 9th-12th grade. Alex, check out the Great Adventure, it’s an incredible camping trip with rafting, caving, lagoon swimming, road tripping!

And a notary will be availabe at check-in for the trip on July 22nd to sign waivers. Also, the front office at Denton Bible has notaries or the Post Office (for a fee) if you would like to get it taken care of beforehand.

Alex – I’m pretty sure that you have to have just completed your first year of high school, but check into the great adventure, for JH students. I never had a chance to go, but from friends, I hear it was really fun.

how old do you have to be to go on the UBA?? is it completed the first year of high school or can you be going into high school? i just completed 8th grade and i REALLY want to go but im not sure if im old enough.

Lots of great points and I agree with them completely.

When I was younger I remember thinking that I had better self-control than I actually had… okay, I STILL have problems with self-control… but at least now I know that if I just try to skirt the edges of sin that I’m going to slip and fall all the way in.

Also, when I was a teen I always thought that my circumstances were special and I would make excuses for my behavior. I loved to justify my sin by saying, “Well at least I’m not…_______ ” I would follow that by comparing myself to people who I thought were behaving way worse than me, but in reality, sin is sin and I needed to be accountable for my actions. So I say when it comes to dating, draw lines and set boundaries and then stay way away from those boundaries so you don’t even come close to slipping up. God Bless. We love you guys and gals!
