Dates of trip:
Saturday, March 10 to Sunday, March 18, 2018 (Spring Break).
Purpose of the trip:
- Trinidad To use evangelistic drama and Backyard Bible Club to impact the Trinidadians, for the glory of God; to partner with Trinidad and Tobago Urban Ministries to enhance their ongoing ministry to the Trinidadian people; and to help expand the understanding of all believers – Trinidadian and American, of our call to participate in God’s global work.
- DBC To glorify God, to share the gospel, to grow the love for God in ourselves and internationals, to grow unity among our team through friendships of care, to expose as many people from DBC as possible to short-term missions, and to experience growth toward Christian maturity by developing new ministry skills.
Type of Trip:
We will be working with local churches and schools in Trinidad to preach the Gospel through dramas and leading backyard Bible Clubs. In addition, we will serve Trinidad and Tobago Urban Ministries (TTUM) in whatever manner they need us to, that often being construction.
Who Can Go On This Trip:
This trip is open to all high school students.
The total expense for the trip is $2,100 per person. This includes airfare, lodging, meals, construction supplies, Backyard Bible Club supplies, ground transport, insurance, ministry supplies, and more. We will raise the money for this trip through support letters and fundraisers.
We’ll be staying at (TTUM). TTUM has a missionary compound in Piarco, Trinidad. It is a gated facility with apartment and dorm style housing. It is the same place we stay every year.
